rcvd KFHD 4 Xmas successfully rooted to+ google play store as per instructions at (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069117) sub-thread ( Amazon 7" Kindle Fire HD, 8.9" Kindle Fire HD, Kindle Fire 2 ).

You have to first install special windows drivers for kindle as described in the 2 Amazon documents:Setting Up Your Development Environment and Connecting Your Kindle Fire to ADB.

Take special notice of the "Known Issues" section of the second Amazon doc at the bottom of the page. If you've already plugged your Kindle into your computer, Windows won't recognize the ADB drivers. I spent hours figuring out that I had to uninstall the old drivers (as described ) first
